Whether you know Pearl Lowe from her music days or from magazines – there is no doubt Pearl has an eye for fashion.

Now established firmly as a style icon and businesswoman, Pearl’s entrance into the fashion world was only the beginning of many exciting design projects.

Pearl Lowe’s design career started much earlier than her high street foray; working on a range of beautifully intricate pieces which are currently on sale at the prestigious London boutique, Viola and online at www.pearllowe.co.uk.

These pieces continue her gothic vintage shapes she has become known for, produced in delicate, high end fabrics.

These quirky illustrations were produced by artist Gary Crozier, and really capture the mood for the tim burton-esque collection.

I wanted to create a collection that depicted my personal style, as well as representing what I would look for in a card. My love for gothic, vintage textures provided the inspiration, as I wanted to maintain my signature style but channel it through this new and exclusive collection of elegant stationery.”

In another creative collaboration, new beauty and lifestyle brand DP London has partnered with the designer to create a range of collectors’ edition candles in its 3 iconic fragrances - Spiced Punch, White Flowers, and Citrus Fruits.

Pearl stated: “For me scent is quite simply the ultimate home accessory. I love transforming the mood with these candles and find candlelight so decadent. They envelop a room with scent that lingers for hours, and create complete calm in my home. The travel candles are also amazing as they help me to take a little home comfort with me and also work equally well in a guest room at home”.

Kiehls Creme de Corps collaboration with Pearl and Daisy Lowe

Continuing its longstanding tradition of supporting children’s charities, Beauty Store Kiehl’s has teamed up with Pearl and Daisy Lowe in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Kiehl’s are releasing a limited edition bottle of their cult classic Crème de Corps, with a redesigned label created by the Mother and Daughter team.

Crème de Corps is a Beauty Editors favourite - its super-rich cocoa butter based lotion transforms the texture of dry, flaking skin after a few days of use, and gives limbs a real glow and firmness.

Priced at £27 for 250ml and £44 for 500ml , every Limited Edition bottle of the intensive all-over body moisturiser sold will raise £2.40 for GOSH.

The Red Hot Women Awards were held last week at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London to honor British women who have shown impressive talent, success and imagination in their industries.

Our very own Pearl Lowe was on hand to present Harriet Lamb, the Executive Director of the Fairtrade Foundation with the Ethical/Eco Award.

Names on the red carpet included Lisa Snowdon, Susanna Reid, Jo Whiley, Sarah Brown, Victoria Pendleton and Louise Redknapp.

Red is the magazine for ambitious women highlighting the ‘good things in life’ and was launched in 1998. Continuing it’s success it launched the Red Hot Awards for individuals ranging from designers to bloggers, and businesswomen.

As well as her highly successful collections for high street brand Peacocks, Pearl Lowe also designs her own main line of vintage inspired, antique lace dresses under her namesake label, Pearl Lowe. Following Pearl Lowe’s success with her vintage inspired range at high street store Peacocks , the designers latest venture has seen her turn to her youngest daughter Betty for inspiration as she launches her very first children’s collection at the store.

Pearl’s adorable five-year-old showed off a range of girl’s party dresses set to launch in time for Christmas. The ‘Betty’ collection of four party pieces have been designed with a helping hand from her daughter, who selected her favourite vintage dresses from her own wardrobe.

The cream lace dress was inspired by the dress Betty wore as flower girl to her aunt’s wedding in 2009 and the red velvet dress was taken from her favourite story, Little Red Riding Hood.

The collection is unique in that is is rare to find vintage style pieces at a reasonable price for children. Pearl said:

‘Since she was two years old, Betty has been asking Daisy and I to keep our vintage dresses for her to wear when she’s older, which is why I’ve interpreted her favourite elements for the high street.’

The Pearl Lowe children’s dresses for Peacocks will launch in selected Peacocks’ stores and online in 10th November, priced between £25 and £30, available from age two to eight.
